What is one to do when one has to study? Do something else that seems very important....yeah sure; doing nail art is crucial (hear my sarcasm here). So today, I indulged in some recreational activities such as mixing nail polishes to create new ones. That sounds fuuun! I took one Rimmel London Alaska - presented in Alaska (Dotticure) and a brown Farmasi Shimmer #208 and the result is what you see in the photos.

Is it to late to say Happy New Year?!! Nonetheless, I wish you all a splendid year, full of fulfillment. I'm very happy I finally had the chance to photograph my manicure! Don't think I've gone "nude" in my blogging hiatus, I do my nails once a week or maybe twice but taking photos in good light is the tricky part.

I'm back! I bet you didn't even missed me, that's how short my "blog vacation" was. Anyhow, I'm excited to present you today another subtle but dreamy nail art, oh so perfect for our beloved summer days. For today's nail art I used a Born Pretty Store stamping plate that I won at a giveaway. It has gorgeous designs on it! I can't wait to try them all!

Let's go on with the colorful manis, shall we? Maybe I went a little overboard with the colors, but it's summer and I want all the cheering I can get. I was going to participate with this design in another Moyou London contest but I wasn't very pleased with the end result. As you can see my top coat smudged the stamping. Oh well, sometimes everything can't be perfect.

Weeeell...it was bound to happen! Although I don't like to post manicures that I'm not fully satisfied with, today I made an exception. Having to study for exams, my time is "precious". And eh... I didn't get the chance to re-do the whole manicure. So here it is...my not so perfect nails :)

Perfect summer nails

[EN] - I don't know about you, but I'm loving these summer days! I don't mind the heat, I love it! I wish I could live in a never-ending summer ♥. Okay, enough of that...lets talk naaails! I seriously can't get enough of this color/nail polish. You can see it in Summer blues and reviewed in Negative space trend (fun fact: the last time I wore this nail polish was during my exams session, just like now). Anyways, I say it's a must have for this summer.

[Ro] - Salutare fete dragi! Nu ştiu voi, dar eu iubesc zilele de vară! Nu mă deranjează căldura deloc, aş trăi într-un loc unde e vară mereu. Eh... să revenim la oile noastre şi să vorbim despre unghii! Trebuie să recunosc, nu mă pot sătura de această ojă/culoare. O puteţi vedea în Summer blues şi în Negative space trend unde i-am făcut şi o recenzie. Tocmai mi-am dat seama că ultima dată cȃnd am purtat această ojă, eram tot în sesiune ca şi acum :)) se vede la ce îmi stă mie capul. Vă recomand o asemenea ojă în colecţie, nu veţi regreta.

[EN] - I'm excited about today's manicure, it's so summery and pretty! Yeah, modest me, but actually I cannot take credit for it, because all the merits go to the Moyou London Pro XL Collection, plate 14 (see review here). All I did was pick the colors :)

MoYou London Review - Cute doodles

[EN] - I'm so excited about today's nails! It's something I've been meaning to do for a while and I'm glad that MoYou London has given me the chance to do it. They've organised a cute pinups contest where we have to take inspiration from one of their pin-up gals. I've chosen the Doodles Collection, because they have amazing plates in it. So keep your fingers crossed for me, will you? 

[Ro] -  Fete dragi, sunt entuziasmata sa va prezint un model la care m-am gandit de ceva vreme, iar cei de la MoYou London mi-au oferit ocazia perfecta pentru a-l incerca in sfarsit. Au organizat un concurs la care trebuie sa ne inspiram din fetele reprezentative ale colectiilor. Zis si facut, am ales Doodles Collection, deoarece au modele deosebite in aceasta. Sa-mi tineti pumnii!

Born Pretty Store Review - Double stamping (First attempt)

[EN] - Today is a glorious day! It's the day I failed at the double stamping technique! :)) I've seen it going around in the nail art world for a while now, so I thought it was about time to give it a try. Aparently, it's not that big of a deal, you stamp once, then you do it again. You can use the same design or a different one. If you're doing the same design but with different colors the trick is to stamp the colors very closely together to get the "idea" of shading, but as you can see I didn't succeed at that.

[Ro] - Salutare fete dragi! Azi e o zi glorioasa! E ziua in care am incercat tehnica stampilarii duble. Se poate stampila acelasi model dar folosind nuante diferite sau modele diferite si nuante diferite, posibilitatile sunt infinite! Daca folositi acelasi model, secretul este sa stampilati modelele aproape unul peste celalalt pentru a da impreisa de umbre, dar dupa cum se vede nu mi-a iesit prea bine.

Born Pretty Store Review - Color blocking stamping

[EN] - As promised in my previous post (Alaska), today I'm going to show you something "warmer". I was going to say color blocking but I don't think it fits that category. With that in mind can anyone tell me what this trend really is? I think my magenta should have been stronger for this to be called color blocking, right?

[Ro] - Fetelor, m-am hotarat sa scriu din nou si in romana. Dar ca sa nu ma simt ca si un robotel care traduce mot-a-mot o sa scriu asa cum imi vine. Sa trecem la treaba, va spuneam in postarea anterioara ca azi o sa va arat ceva mai "calduros". Voiam sa spun color blocking dar nu cred ca se incadreaza in trend. De fapt, ati putea sa-mi spuneti ce inseamna mai exact color blocking? Cred ca ticlamul meu trebuia sa fie mai puternic si sa acopere mai mult spatiu ca sa intre in categorie, nu?

Hello!

How's your week going? I'm gonna brag now and say that I have a one week vacation and plan to just relax and laze around as much as possible. Don't hate the player hate the game :))

Today's manicure is a disruption from my plan to swatch all my Rimmel polishes. What can I say, I was in the mood for some texture. These were my Easter nails, I did them last minute so I needed a nail polish that would dry quickly and would have minimal visibility of any smudges that could've happen.

I for one, am finally relaxing, cozing up with a hot tea and an episode of one of my favourite tv show, just waiting to be watched. And since I've decided to go on with the blog for now, I have for you today an oldie, but goldie...

Hello ladies!

It's been far to long since my last post, but I was having "writer's block" or should I say nail polish addict's block :)). I succeded to ruin/smudge each manicure I've tried lately or my nail polish would simply make those horrible bubbles, so as you can see my frustration grew higher and higher until I gave up painting my nails altogether. After getting bored of my bare nails I said to myself this is not the way my hobby should "die", so here I am, getting back on the horse, picking up the pieces of my adrift blog. I still love painting my nails, doing pretty, feminine designs and that's what I plan to do, no pressure, just fun!

The most wonderful season of the year is here and it's actually nearly over, but better late then never! So let it rain with pastels and love! I've heard that radiant orchid is this years official colour and the lavander/lilac are also right up that alley. Purple and its variations have always been my favorites and now I have the perfect excuse to wear them, excessively! But don't worry I'll try not to bore you!

Born Pretty Store Review: My first stamping experience ♥

Hello again!

Because it has a double purpose this post took longer than I expected. If you are wondering about the purposes, well yesterday we ended the 31 Weeks Collaboration, it was my first challenge this big and I enjoyed it, even though I didn't have the chance to participate at all the themes. Nevertheless you can check out all my entries for this challenge here. In this last theme I've choosed to recreate Madalina's design, although her version is better ^^

Deoarece are un dublu scop, această postare mi-a luat mai mult timp decât mă așteptam. Dacă vă întrebați care sunt acelea, ei bine ieri s-a terminat Colaborarea de 31 de Săptămâni; a fost prima mea provocare de-o asemenea anvergură și pot spune că mi-a plăcut, chiar dacă nu am avut ocazia să particip la toate temele. Cu toate acestea puteți să-mi vedeți toate modelele pentru această provocare aici. Pentru ultima temă am ales să recreez modelul Mădălinei, deși varianta ei rămâne mai bună ^^
