Nail Team Challenge - Floral

Hello girls!

Today I go on with my little pet project and I'm showing you another Rimmel London nail polish (Too Cool To Tango). A gorgeous pastel blue that is just perfect for spring. I'm a little disappointed that the pictures aren't 100% color accurate, the shade isn't that much on the turquoise side, is just a straight up pale blue. Sorry for that :)

TNCC ~ Inspired roses

My "mojo's" back! Sort of, if at the end of last year I was feeling uninspired and in no mood for blogging this month is quite the opposite. As a result, I've joined yet again to The Nail Challenge Collaborative, after a few months of absence. The theme for January is inspired by a tutorial, it's a really cool subject and the amount of tutorials out there is incredible. There are a few blogs I like to follow and Paulina's Passions is one of them. She has this beautiful manicure and a tutorial for it called Roses Nail Art Tutorial. You should check it out, it was my inspiration for this manicure, altough hers are sublime, mine need a little more practice.

Hey girls!

On Sunday, this blog turned 1! Yes, one! Already! And I didn't even had the time to do something special :(. I had in mind a few changes but I guess it'll have to wait and maybe they'll be on my resolutions list for 2014. We'll see how my vacation goes but hopefully it'll happen sooner! I for one, can't wait! But enough of that I don't want to spoil the surprise ^^

I know some of you have been following my blog for a while, so thank you for all your support and visits. They're much appreciated! And since I haven't properly introduced myself, here's a clue to how I look like. Just if you're curious! ^^ I for one like to know a little bit about the people behind the blogs I'm reading. In this regard, an about me section is planned to appear in the near future.

KKCenterHK Review - Champagne Bubbles

As promised on my Facebook page, today I'm talking about a bundle of sparkle. And since we're officially in the most cheerful month of the year, what could be more appropriate? December has such a special vibe with all its lights and flavors. It's one of my favourite periods and it's the only time I can endure the cold and the snow - I even find it special.

The polish I'm talking about is Ebalay #07 - it's a beautiful glitter, it has actually several types of glitters in it: round white and copper ones, tiny strips of white flecks and almost invisible to the eye purple glitter.

I'm so missing this! Posting, doing nail art and speaking with you guys through comments but I knew this was coming so I'm just trying to get used to it. Today's manicure should have been up on blog since last Saturday so I hope the girls from the Polish Addict group would receive my sincerest apologies - I was really swamped with school projects and courses and everything was hectic...

The theme from The Polish Addict Group Challenge was inspired by your favourite quote and my personal favourite is Be the best version of yourself! wich should be a happier self with a high self esteem and confidence. In one word a brilliant self!

How are you today? Are you all as eager as me for the weekend to come? But... bear with me, it's only wednesday! This also means it's time for a new Mish Mash theme, namely flower. I'm sure you all know by now how much I love florals therefore it was a pleasure to do this manicure. ^^

Ce faceți fetelor? Sunteți la fel de nerăbdătoare ca și mine să vină weekend-ul? Ei bine mai rezistați puțin, e doar miercuri! Asta mai înseamnă că e timpul pentru o nouă temă din cadrul Prvovocării Mish Mash, și anume flori. Sunt sigură că știți deja cât de mult îmi plac modelele florale, drept dovadă stă și această manichiură. ^^

T.P.A. - Celebrity inspired nails

I'm back after a week of "radio silence". I know I've warned you that things may get a little slow around here but this time the cause of my absence was the lack of appetite for nail art. This week was the first time, in ages, when I wore just a simple nail color and it felt good. I've missed a couple of challenges and for that I apologize ^^

Today's manicure is celebrity inspired... a theme from the lovely T.P.A Challenge. This mani goes perfectly with the simplistic mood I had lately.

I'm sorry I went awol on you guys but I came down with a bad cold. Anyways, today’s post is a little different ‘cause  it’s a throw back in time. As I was on "bed arrest" I haven’t got the chance to prepare anything and I found these pictures just lying around there unused. I totally forgot about this manicure and even though it’s not very pretty or good looking at least you can observe my evolution, as I like to think I’m doing better now. ^^

Imi pare rau ca am disparut dar m-am pricopsit cu o raceala teribila. Postarea de azi e putin diferita pentru ca e o incursiune in trecut. Cum mai mult am stat "la pat", nu am avut timp sa pregatesc nimic si am gasit pozele astea zacand nefolosite. Am uitat complet de ele si chiar daca nu sunt foarte dragute, macar se poate observa un progres, cel putin mie asta imi place sa  cred ^^

Jelly sandwich nails - first attempt

Today's post is special! I've descovered a new technique to me; I don't know how to call it properly but a jelly sandwich. I've stumbled upon it yesterday over at Adventures In Acetone and I was thrilled. She has made a super easy and explicative tutorial so make sure to pay her a visit. I think it was fate to found this exactly now when I had no idea what to do for yesterday's Mish Mash Challenge theme - blue and when I realised that the only jelly nail polish I have is blue I knew what I had to do ^^

Postarea de azi e una specială! Am descoperit o tehnică nouă mie; nu știu exact cum s-o numesc altfel decât sandviș gelatinos. Am descoperit-o ieri, pe blogul Adventures In Acetone și am fost super încântată.

T.P.A. - Autumn flowers

I promised you in my last post (A hot accent on a cold mani) that I will show you autumn on my nails but I didn't want to do something stereotypical like fiery leaves and naked trees or seasonal fruits (I'm not very good at that), so I went with what I do best: flowers and I picked chrysanthemums. All this came along perfectly with today's theme of the The Polish Addict Group Challenge - A season.

V-am promis în ultima postare (A hot accent on a cold mani) că vă voi arăta toamna pe unghiile mele, dar nu voiam să fac stereotipurile acesteia, cum ar fi frunzele în nuanțe de foc și copaci goi sau fructele sezoniere (nu prea mă pricep la asta), așa că am mers pe ce știu eu să fac mai bine: flori și am ales crizantemele.

Born Pretty Store Review: A hot accent on a cold mani

Hei girls!

After whining a lot about this crappy weather and longing for hot summer days spent on a beach with an icy drink in our hand, I decided it was about time to embrace autumn with its ups and downs, surely I don't need to mention the "downs" we pretty much know the moody rains and sunless days. As in concern to the "ups", autumn always reminds me of my childhood, when I would gather bouqets of leaves to take them to my mom or collect chestnuts for no reason. Fall has its charm, it's the season of juicy apples and grapes, of hot chocolate and cozy sweaters, so yeah, I'm planning to enjoy all that and forget about the nasty weather. How about you?

The theme of the Mish Mash Challenge - cold - goes perfectly with this time of year, but I didn't get ahead of myself as I wanted to do a review of some studs that I received from Born Pretty Store.

TTC#6 - When stripes turn into tribal...

Hello lovely ladies!

I hope your Monday went smoothly! (if that is ever possible ^^) We're off to another week and it'll get crowded over here, I intend to show you at least four manicures. The first one is from the Techniques Challenge with a striped theme. I haven't done a tribal design in ages so this was the perfect opportunity!

Sper că ați avut o zi de luni ușoară! (dacă e posibil așa ceva ^^) Începem o nouă săptămână și va fi puțină aglomerație aici pe blog, îmi propun să vă arăt cel puțin patru manichiuri. Prima este din cadrul Provocării Tehnicilor  cu o temă dungată. Nu am făcut un model tribal de multă vreme, așa că aceasta o fost ocazia perfectă!

How's your week so far? Mine has been eventless, just movie marathons and a lot of gym - yeah I'm getting in shape for winter :)) I'm a paradox, summer didn't motivate me maybe getting back to school will. Anyways let's get back to why were here - a new manicure from the Mish Mash Challenge.

Cum v-ați petrecut săptămâna până acum? A mea a fost cam lipsită de evenimente, doar câteva maratoane de filme și multă sală - aha vreau să fiu în formă pentru iarnă :)) sunt un paradox, vara nu m-a motivat prea tare, poate începutul facultății va fi suficient.

TTC#4 - Rivers of candy canes

Hi there lovelies!

I know, it's Monday and we have a new week ahead of us so let's take it easy! Today is the Techniques Challenge's turn and we have water marble - a beloved technique I didn't have the chance to practice very often. As a result the designs aren't identical, I think that's the hardest thing with this one, but they turned out pretty after all. It was actually the first time I've done it on someone else, my friend I. pitched in to help me. With all the challenges I'm in it's very helpful and less stressful for my nails if I do the designs on someone else's nails ^^

Știu că e Luni și avem o nouă săptămână în fata noastră, așa că, să o luăm usurel! Azi i-a venit rândul Provocării Tehnicilor și avem pictură pe apă - o tehnică preferată dar neexersată îndeajuns. Drept urmare modelele nu sunt identice, acesta fiind cel mai dificil aspect la tehnica de astăzi, dar cu toate acestea, au ieșit drăguț.

Today is a big day! We start a new challenge - The Polish Addict Challenge. It's the most interesting collaboration I've attended so far and I hope I'll be able to do all the themes ^^ So lets begin! the first theme is Pop Art...well ladies, this is the first time I've stumbled over such a theme and boy did it gave me a hard time. I'm not familiar with this current (I think I was to young when it was popular or I wasn't even born) but after googling it I came accross a ton of inspiration.

I thought I won't be able to finish all four manicures from the Around the world theme (if only August would have had more days), but with the help of my friend D. who gladly "gave" up her nails for experimentation, I'm presenting you today manicure #4 representing my home country Romania.

Credeam că nu voi apuca să termin toate cele patru manichiuri din tema In jurul lumii (dacă ar fi avut August mai multe zile ce bine ar fi fost), dar cu ajutorul prietenei mele D. care și-a "predat" cu plăcere unghiile pentru experimentare, vă prezint azi manichiura cu numărul patru, reprezentând țărișoara noastră.

Today I'm presenting you another manicure inspired by the Around the world theme, I've chosen Japan and what would could have fitted best my tastes than cherry blosoms? I've actually wanted to do this nail art for a while now and I'm glad I finally had the chance. I have to say I really like how they turned out ^^
