A little more love - Collaboration

Hei girls!

Let me just start by saying this is the first time I'm wearing my nails all black and I'm pretty sure it's going to be the last time too. This whole manicure was kind of an experiment I've used a matifying top-coat for the first time and I'm not very pleased by it (a product by Flormar) because my nails aren't that matte and I can't figure out what I did wrong because I did exactly what the instructions said. Also the design looked so much better in my head :)) and I'm a bit disappointed by the end result of this mani. But anyways here they are:
This design is part of the 31 weeks collaboration and I had to be inspired by a song in this theme. So I picked my newest all time favourite song Moya - A Little More love.
The idea of this design was inspired by what she is wearing in the video (you can see there how my design should've looked) also I added some hearts just to be more closely to the song's idea ^^
And let me just warn you it's not that easy to use black nail polish. I knew that if I smear my cuticules I'm doomed because it's hard to clean them up aftewards but I think I did a pretty good job excepting a nail or two. All in all this is not my best work, the more I look at them the more they seem like the drawings of a 4 year old :))

    Dragute si unghiutele tale si melodia! :) eu adooor oja neagra, mai ales in combinatie cu auriu...si eu folosesc lacul matifiant de la Flormar, mai mult de 2 zile nu rezista efectul :(

      Mersi :d poate am sa-i mai dau o sansa asa cu auriu cum spui tu ;)) cat despre lacul flormar atunci se pare ca este o dezamagire daca nu doar eu am aceasta problema

    Unghiutele imi plac tare mult. Nici eu nu sunt multumita de lacul matifiant de la Flormar. Unghiutele sunt foarte creative si chiar sunt incantata de alegerea facuta. Combinatia mat- lucios da chiar bine. Te pup.

      Mersi! Da, pacat de acel lac mi-ar fi placut si mie sa se fi vazut mai tare diferenta asta si daca imi iesea mie modelul mai frumos ;))

    I think you're too hard on your self, I think that it looked very much like the dress! And actually liked the black background. :) I know there's a bit tricker to clean up but still not worse than a glitter time wise. :) I don't think you've done nothing wrong with the matte polish. Some matte polishes sucks. I've tried one from HM which has been great! I've also tried one from Kleancolor which has worked okay too. You also got matte polishes from China Glaze and Essie which I know work great from others. So give black and (a new)matte polish a new try! ;P

      Well that's because I want to share nail art that is pretty and likeable and I always think there's room for better :D But thank you so much for your comment I really appreciate your opinion and I'm glad you shared with me your thoughts. Also thanks for the insights about matte nail polish the one I used was the first one I bought and indeed I should make better purchase choices so maybe I'll give matte and black polish another chance ;)) Kisses!

    Black nail polish always stains my nails:(

      Thank you :) I always use 2 coats of base coat so I don't have such problems when I use dark shades

    Lavinia: ma bucur ca iti plac si sa sti ca oja aceea neagra e din aia ieftina natty cu 2 3 lei dar e atat de buna pentru ca devine opaca dintr-un singur strat si are o consistenta asa de faina :D imi place tare mult.
