What is one to do when one has to study? Do something else that seems very important....yeah sure; doing nail art is crucial (hear my sarcasm here). So today, I indulged in some recreational activities such as mixing nail polishes to create new ones. That sounds fuuun! I took one Rimmel London Alaska - presented in Alaska (Dotticure) and a brown Farmasi Shimmer #208 and the result is what you see in the photos.

Is it to late to say Happy New Year?!! Nonetheless, I wish you all a splendid year, full of fulfillment. I'm very happy I finally had the chance to photograph my manicure! Don't think I've gone "nude" in my blogging hiatus, I do my nails once a week or maybe twice but taking photos in good light is the tricky part.

I was hoping to do some nail art but I can't quite keep up with my new schedule. I recently started a new job and I'm not used to the hours yet; so there's usually a lot of sleep or going out in my free time and not nearly enough time for nails, sadly! So until I can figure things out I decided I should do a tag (since I've never done one before). I saw it on Georgia's Mirror and thought it was cute and oh so right for this blog. So let's begin:

Although, there are a lot of brands out there, I only tried a handful of them. So, from my personal collection Golden Rose, definetly stands out! Lately, they expanded their color range, textures and finishes and the quality is quite pleasing.

  I'm glad you're here, reading! I have something pretty for you today, but I don't think pretty is the right adjective for it; the word that comes to mind when I look at this nail polish is sophisticated, yes! This Flormar #013 from the True Color Collection is the perfect red for a misterious allure. Gosh, I'm using a lot of fancy words to describe this color, but imagine it on your nails and tell me: what comes to mind? I can think of some khaki and military accents. Whatever outfit you imagined or occasion or scenario, this color would only empower you, for sure!

  How are you all doing? It feels like ages since my last post! But, here I am, after yet again, another unplanned hiatus. I would say I'm sorry but I'm not really, I simply enjoyed my last vacation as a student. Anyways, I've done some changes to the design, it's not ready yet, but I would love to hear your thoughts about the new look of the blog.

  Today I'm not showing you a manicure, but rather talk about a product that I loved this summer, that is: the Loreal Micellar Cleansing Water. I'm sure that the micellar cleansers are not a novelty to you, there are so many choices from mass-market brands to dermatocosmetic, that it's hard to know which one will be right for your skin.

How are you today? I'm happy that I'm finally on vacation, whoop whoop! And what other color than this one can so loudly scream "summer vacation"? Let me tell you: none! I'm in love with this shade, just by looking at it I'm immediatly transposed to a sunny white sand beach, with some palm trees nearby and the quiet ocean... how nice it would be to be sipping a lemonade under those palm trees, right? :))

Hello ladies!

I bet you're surprised! Well, it's still litlle ol' me, but everything else will be different! Why the change?! you may wonder...well I just wasn't feeling it anymore with the name and the url that didn't match and the design..with just about everything, actually. So the first step was changing the name of the blog to match the url. Sure, I didn't do much research so Mr Google won't redirect you here from the old link, here's where my loss will be. But I'll manage! I don't live for the number of views. I hope you'll find your way back here, one way or another.

The next step will be changing the template of the blog and that's gonna take a while, I want to do it myself and since I'm still learning the ways of web design, things will move a bit slower. But I'm in no hurry! I'm not going anywhere. Maybe you'll share your opinions with me along the way, it will be much appreciated :D

In that note, I would love to know what do you think about the new name? I like it more than what it was before, I hope you'll do too. It was pretty hard to decide on a new name, I've been thinking about it for a good while, just spinning name ideas in my head and this was the one that stuck with me. You have to know, I'm the type of person that gets bored easily with things and I'm always changing my mind. I think I'm the most indecisive person I know :)) 

So after more than two years of blogging I needed to reinvent myself; to not give up until I'm fully satisfied with everything and to finally have more courage to promote my passion. I guess I've always felt a bit shy about my blog and a part of me wanted it to remain a secret, to just be my little corner. The anonymity appealed to me and it still does; to leave you wondering who's behind the keyboard. But that puts a "wall" between us, which makes me feel safe but at the same time it's keeping you at arms length so maybe I'm missing out on things, I don't know...

For today's nail art I used a Born Pretty Store stamping plate that I won at a giveaway. It has gorgeous designs on it! I can't wait to try them all!

So this is my last draft :)) After bragging in a previous post that I have this regular posting thing under control, today I'm telling you that I don't, and that's ok because my nails have been bare for a few days now, my exams are over and I don't know when I'm going to post again. So yeah I'm taking a little vacation, but I'll be back soon.

Let's go on with the colorful manis, shall we? Maybe I went a little overboard with the colors, but it's summer and I want all the cheering I can get. I was going to participate with this design in another Moyou London contest but I wasn't very pleased with the end result. As you can see my top coat smudged the stamping. Oh well, sometimes everything can't be perfect.

Hello ladies!

I can't believe I've managed to post 8 times this month, with exams and all! The key ingredient to constant posting is planning ahead. Oh yes, I've discovered the big secret! I always have one or two manicures ready to go on the blog before the one I'm curently wearing. So that gives me a little bit of wiggle room in case I'm not in the mood for nails or my design doesn't turn out to be "blog worthy". It really takes away the stress of not having what to post in the mentioned cases.

So this is a color that looks really gorgeous in the bottle but not particularly on my nails. It's really smooth and an easy one coater. It also has a nice shine, I can't really complain. It's a vibrant color perfect for summer. Oh, right, I'm talking about Farmasi #46

Would you wear such a shade? What combos come to mind when you look at it? I struck out :)

Not so perfect dotticure

Hello polished friends!

Today is a special day! It's the 200th post on my blog! Yeey! Although I should've reached this number a while ago, I'm happy to be here now :) And even though my manicures don't always turn up as I want them to, I will still try. Because this is my creative outlet and a way to "blow off some steam" and I will keep doing it as long as it is a pleasure, no matter what others think...because I do have my fair share of not so approving comments that were said along the way.

Weeeell...it was bound to happen! Although I don't like to post manicures that I'm not fully satisfied with, today I made an exception. Having to study for exams, my time is "precious". And eh... I didn't get the chance to re-do the whole manicure. So here it is...my not so perfect nails :)

Perfect summer nails

[EN] - I don't know about you, but I'm loving these summer days! I don't mind the heat, I love it! I wish I could live in a never-ending summer ♥. Okay, enough of that...lets talk naaails! I seriously can't get enough of this color/nail polish. You can see it in Summer blues and reviewed in Negative space trend (fun fact: the last time I wore this nail polish was during my exams session, just like now). Anyways, I say it's a must have for this summer.

[Ro] - Salutare fete dragi! Nu ştiu voi, dar eu iubesc zilele de vară! Nu mă deranjează căldura deloc, aş trăi într-un loc unde e vară mereu. Eh... să revenim la oile noastre şi să vorbim despre unghii! Trebuie să recunosc, nu mă pot sătura de această ojă/culoare. O puteţi vedea în Summer blues şi în Negative space trend unde i-am făcut şi o recenzie. Tocmai mi-am dat seama că ultima dată cȃnd am purtat această ojă, eram tot în sesiune ca şi acum :)) se vede la ce îmi stă mie capul. Vă recomand o asemenea ojă în colecţie, nu veţi regreta.
