Throwback - My favorite nail art and the most productive period

Hello ladies!

Last week I took part in a challenge and it reminded me of my glorious days :)) I was most productive when I was participating at no more than 3 challenges at a time. I was quite the busy bee and I loved it! But having to come up with some many designs and having to stick to a timeline it took a tool on me eventually. By the time the university started I felt like I needed a break and so I quietly stepped out of the challenges world. And almost two years later here I am ^_^

Hey girls!

On Sunday, this blog turned 1! Yes, one! Already! And I didn't even had the time to do something special :(. I had in mind a few changes but I guess it'll have to wait and maybe they'll be on my resolutions list for 2014. We'll see how my vacation goes but hopefully it'll happen sooner! I for one, can't wait! But enough of that I don't want to spoil the surprise ^^

I know some of you have been following my blog for a while, so thank you for all your support and visits. They're much appreciated! And since I haven't properly introduced myself, here's a clue to how I look like. Just if you're curious! ^^ I for one like to know a little bit about the people behind the blogs I'm reading. In this regard, an about me section is planned to appear in the near future.

Jelly sandwich nails - first attempt

Today's post is special! I've descovered a new technique to me; I don't know how to call it properly but a jelly sandwich. I've stumbled upon it yesterday over at Adventures In Acetone and I was thrilled. She has made a super easy and explicative tutorial so make sure to pay her a visit. I think it was fate to found this exactly now when I had no idea what to do for yesterday's Mish Mash Challenge theme - blue and when I realised that the only jelly nail polish I have is blue I knew what I had to do ^^

Postarea de azi e una specială! Am descoperit o tehnică nouă mie; nu știu exact cum s-o numesc altfel decât sandviș gelatinos. Am descoperit-o ieri, pe blogul Adventures In Acetone și am fost super încântată.

TTC#6 - When stripes turn into tribal...

Hello lovely ladies!

I hope your Monday went smoothly! (if that is ever possible ^^) We're off to another week and it'll get crowded over here, I intend to show you at least four manicures. The first one is from the Techniques Challenge with a striped theme. I haven't done a tribal design in ages so this was the perfect opportunity!

Sper că ați avut o zi de luni ușoară! (dacă e posibil așa ceva ^^) Începem o nouă săptămână și va fi puțină aglomerație aici pe blog, îmi propun să vă arăt cel puțin patru manichiuri. Prima este din cadrul Provocării Tehnicilor  cu o temă dungată. Nu am făcut un model tribal de multă vreme, așa că aceasta o fost ocazia perfectă!

TTC#4 - Rivers of candy canes

Hi there lovelies!

I know, it's Monday and we have a new week ahead of us so let's take it easy! Today is the Techniques Challenge's turn and we have water marble - a beloved technique I didn't have the chance to practice very often. As a result the designs aren't identical, I think that's the hardest thing with this one, but they turned out pretty after all. It was actually the first time I've done it on someone else, my friend I. pitched in to help me. With all the challenges I'm in it's very helpful and less stressful for my nails if I do the designs on someone else's nails ^^

Știu că e Luni și avem o nouă săptămână în fata noastră, așa că, să o luăm usurel! Azi i-a venit rândul Provocării Tehnicilor și avem pictură pe apă - o tehnică preferată dar neexersată îndeajuns. Drept urmare modelele nu sunt identice, acesta fiind cel mai dificil aspect la tehnica de astăzi, dar cu toate acestea, au ieșit drăguț.

Today is a big day! We start a new challenge - The Polish Addict Challenge. It's the most interesting collaboration I've attended so far and I hope I'll be able to do all the themes ^^ So lets begin! the first theme is Pop Art...well ladies, this is the first time I've stumbled over such a theme and boy did it gave me a hard time. I'm not familiar with this current (I think I was to young when it was popular or I wasn't even born) but after googling it I came accross a ton of inspiration.

I wanted to try something different than the usual galaxy nails -which are in a darker tone- and at first I had no hopes for it 'cause nothing good seemed to came out but in the end I can declare myself satisfied by the result - which is colorful and cheery-

One Minty Tribal Print (or about a dozen)

Hope you're all doing well and I really hope you haven't forgot about me ^^ This has been the longest break so far on my blog and I wish it would be the only one but you never know. I truly intend to keep posting as often as I can and I hope you will still be here with me.

So back to my nails - I must tell you the truth - the reason behind my absence is that I broke not one, but four nails!!!

Different Shades of Blue Challenge - Ruffian (First attempt)

Hello ladies!

It's time for a new manicure from the Different Shades of Blue Challenge. I hope you aren't getting tired of so much blue but think that it's for a good cause i.e. autism awareness. So todays theme is blue ruffian and I was very excited about it because I have never tried this design before on my nails and I was quite curious how it would look because of the shape of my nails (which is not that straight).

It's quite easy to achieve this look you first have to paint your nails white then place the french strips near the cuticules, then add the blue and you're done.

Different Shades of Blue Challenge - Joined opposites

Hello ladies!

As promised today I have for you another manicure from the Different Shades of Blue Challenge. The theme is puzzle pieces and I have to admit that I'm not that good at geometric designs so I've kept it simple. I've split the nails in two then added the dots and that's it. Simple right? And let me tell you the effect is awesome. I love it!

The design does look better in real life I don't know why :)) Anyways I'll try to post tomorrow some pictures in natural light (if I don't smudge them in my sleep ^^)

KKCenterHk Review - Studded flowers

Today I have for you a different kind of post, a review of some studs from KKCenterHk. These are my first studs and I'm very excited to use them. I guess when we all see studs we think of that rocker chick style, well that's no really my style so I've sweeten the mani as you can see in the pictures below.

Azi am pentru voi o postare diferită și anume o recenzie a unor ținte de la KKCenterHk. Acestea sunt primele mele ținte și sunt foarte încântată să le folosesc.

My nails are still blue, but I really really wanted to show you a mani that I wore last week. I have to admit I kinda like all things vintage so when it comes to all those cute prints and fabrics I can't resist! Also the fashion trends back in the day were just gorgeous and so feminine with all those floral and delicate thingys ^^

Unghiile mele sunt tot albastre, dar am ținut neapărat să vă arăt o manichiură ce am purtat-o săptămâna trecută. Trebuie să recunosc că îmi plac lucrurile cu un aer vintage, așa că atunci când vine vorba de toate acele imprimeuri și țesături drăguțe nu pot resista!

Electric blue is always perfect

Today I have for you blue nails which are not mine but I wanted to show them to you because I like how they came out. The design is easy to do and the nails look cute, I think and how tomorrow's the International Autism Awareness Day (blue is the color of this day) I thought they would be appropriate. Only tomorrow I'll be posting my blue nails but I would also like to see that you too take part to this initiative of wearing blue on your nails or not only. It's a nice gesture through which we can raise awareness.

Azi am pentru voi unghii albastre, nu sunt ale mele, dar am ținut să vi le arăt pentru că tare îmi place cum au ieșit. Sunt așa simpluțe de făcut și arată drăguț, zic eu și cum mâine e Ziua Internațională a Conștientizării Autismului (albastru fiind culoarea vedetă) m-am gândit că ar fi potrivite.

Emerald treasure - Collaboration

It's that time of the week when a lot of ladies gather and share pretty manicure ideas. For today's theme we have green nails. If you follow me on Facebook you could see there a few emerald hues that I love. I was searching for the perfect one, I haven't found it yet so I settled for this one. Pink cheetah print - First attempt

Am I late or what? I know it's not nice but lesson learned - always prepare your posts ahead! That being said I'll be quick today^^ I owe you all Saturday's theme which was Animal print. This is actually my first attempt and I'll definetly be doing more of these 'cause I like how it looks but for future reference I should make my spots bigger and denser on each nail ^^

Golden Snowdrops - Saran Wrap First attempt

I'm glad that I can finally say that spring is here which means that summer is one step closer ^^ I'm more of a heat lover so winter is the least favourite time of the year for me. To welcome the 1st of March I've prepared a special manicure along with some other lovely ladies. Here in our part of the world this day has a folcloric meaning in which women receive flowers or symbolic jewelry.

Sunt bucuroasa ca in sfarsit pot spune ca primavara a venit, ceea ce inseamna ca vara e cu inca un pas mai aproape ^^ Eu sunt mai mult o iubitoare de caldura si deci iarna nu e cea mai favorita perioada din an.

Hello pretty ladies!

It finally feels like I can breathe a little! I have a lot of catching up to do but I'm pretty sure things will go back to normal now that my exams are over ^^ I have a ton of plans for this blog and for my nails so I hope to keep you busy with my ramblings but just a bit.

Now moving on to my nails for today - I had in mind a gray shade that I haven't used in a long time and I thought it would be a nice change of pace after all that glitter/color/techniques madness.
